I had my second chemo treatment yesterday, and things went fine. Ok, except that they had to try 3 times to find a vein for my IV, but not big deal. Who would ever have known that I used to have a needle phobia! I guess after getting cancer things are put into perspective! Now I can actually watch, even when my vein starting working too well and blood spewed all ever the pillow on my lap. Eh, small stuff…
My mom finally arrived from Massachusetts after spending a week driving cross country just for me! Ok, she is enjoying the weather out here, and we did go shopping for her today to buy new sheets and some stylish digs to update her a little.
So I’m just a little tired so far, but not feeling very sick at all. I’ll probably have my bad days from thurs – sat, if it’s going to be like last time. My blood counts are all very good, and my oncologist said I must be doing something right! No vomiting, not a lot of nausea, but of course, I couldn’t get by without the dreaded constipation…already.
So during treatment yesterday I imagined that the chemo was an army of very fiesty and hungry hummingbirds with an appetite for ugly cancer cells. And then I added beatiful, bright flowers that were red and white blood cells.
Happy thoughts! Thank you everyone for all of your support and wonderful comments!

I am so happy your mom is there with you.
Glad you updated her digs too for living in the Valley of the Sun. We’re praying for you all and hope that this passes swiftly. God Bless!
Good luck. I didn’t get very sick from the OvCa chemo treatment either… so hopefully it will be easy sailing for you… (or so to speak).
